## Synopsis

Khakee: The Bengal Chapter (2025) is an Indian crime drama miniseries created by Neeraj Pandey and released on Netflix. Across seven hour-long episodes, upright police officer Arjun Maitra (Jeet) sets out to bring down Kolkata's feared don Bagha (Saswata Chatterjee), whose henchmen run bloody gang wars across the city. Arjun must push through a broken police system where senior officers and political interests protect the underworld, and his investigation is shaped by colleagues and rivals including Barun Roy (Prosenjit Chatterjee) and Nibedita Basak (Chitrangada Singh). The series is built as one continuous story in which every episode tightens the pressure on both the hero and the criminals around him. Its texture is gritty and street-level, with tense confrontations, violent turf fights, and the moral strain of an honest man trapped inside compromised institutions. Viewers who enjoy the procedural grit of Sacred Games and the criminal-network intensity of Narcos will find resonance here. The tone is intense, sober, and propulsive, with a strong sense of a city where power and violence are intertwined.
