## Synopsis

Diary of a Ditched Girl (2025) is a Swedish comedy miniseries released on Netflix, adapted from a novel and set in contemporary Malmö. Carla Sehn plays Amanda, a woman who keeps meeting a wide range of men through dating apps and nights out in bars, yet cannot seem to move past the first date. Her friends, including Moah Madsen as Adina, Dilan Apak as Jabba, Malou Marnfeldt as Lilleman, and Zahraa Aldoujaili as Ronja, form the emotional backbone of the show, comparing notes, cheering each other on, and turning each disappointing date into shared material for laughs. The engine of the series is the gap between what Amanda hopes for in love and the awkward, often absurd reality of modern courtship. Each of its seven episodes of roughly half an hour follows a new encounter and its aftermath, building a light, observational portrait of urban singlehood. The series is a brisk, self-contained limited run with a breezy, wry tone, warm toward its characters and sharp about the rituals of swiping and small talk. Fans of Sex and the City, Girls and Insecure will find resonance in its frank, friendship-centered look at dating.
