## Synopsis

Fermat Kitchen (2025) is a Japanese animated slice of life series adapted from a manga and broadcast on TV Asahi and its affiliated regional stations. Gaku Kitada, a talented mathematics scholar whose dream of becoming a mathematician has stalled, meets Kai Asakura, a young and similarly gifted chef who is running his own food business. Together they attempt something new, and the twelve-episode season follows their partnership as each dish becomes a problem to be reasoned through and tasted. Supporting characters surround the pair with the kitchen and classroom life of the story. The engine is simple and concrete: ingredients, techniques and rival palates to master, with intellect and instinct pushing against each other. Its tone is warm, curious and hopeful, with a gentle sense of discovery. Fans of Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma, Oishinbo and Hikaru no Go will find resonance in its blend of culinary craft, intellectual passion and friendship. The single season is a self-contained, complete arc that rewards viewers who enjoy food-centered stories about people finding their footing again.
