## Synopsis

Rocket Power (1999-2004) is an American animated kids comedy created by Arlene Klasky and Gábor Csupó for Nickelodeon. The show follows four friends who spend their days on skateboards, surfboards and bikes around a sunny Southern California beach town, chasing extreme sports and landing in outrageous situations. Reggie Rocket (voiced by Shayna Fox) leads the group alongside her brother Otto Rocket (voiced by Joseph Ashton), their friend Twister Rodriguez (voiced by Ulysses Cuadra) and Sam Dullard (voiced by Gary LeRoi Gray), with Ray Rocket (voiced by John Kassir) as the fourth principal voice in their family orbit. Each episode runs about twenty-four minutes and is built around a self-contained stunt, prank or misadventure, so the series can be watched in any order. Its engine is simple: the kids want the next thrill and the chaos follows them, with friendship and loyalty holding everything together. The tone is breezy, cheerful and lightly slapstick, a bright piece of Saturday morning and after-school animation with a playful surf-culture sensibility. Fans of Recess, Hey Arnold! and The Wild Thornberrys will find similar kid-friendly, episodic energy here.
