## Synopsis

Watari-kun's ****** Is About to Collapse (2025) is a Japanese animated romantic comedy series created for TOKYO MX, adapted from a manga and produced as a single 26-episode season. Naoto Watari (voiced by Shuichiro Umeda) lives entirely for his younger sister Suzushiro (voiced by Hinaki Yano as a young character), organizing his days around her with rigid precision. His carefully ordered routine begins to crack when his chaotic childhood friend Satsuki Tachibana (voiced by Yumika Yano as a young character) storms back into his life. Her presence is loud in its silence, awakening memories he has buried and forcing him to face unresolved pain. Episodes move through everyday high school life, with awkward encounters, quiet confrontations and gradually surfacing secrets that tug at the bond between the siblings and the old friend. The tone is warm and wistful, with comedic beats cutting against aching emotional undercurrents. Fans of Toradora!, Your Lie in April and Kaguya-sama: Love Is War will find a similar mix of school romance, emotional tension and youthful longing, delivered in a seinen-leaning, slice of life register that rewards patient viewing.
