## Synopsis

The Batman (2004-2008) is a United States animated superhero series created by Duane Capizzi for The WB and later The CW. Young billionaire Bruce Wayne (voiced by Rino Romano) pursues crime and evil as the mysterious masked vigilante The Batman, keeping his double life hidden from the world. Alastair Duncan plays his loyal butler Alfred Pennyworth, who anchors the household, while voice actors Ming-Na Wen as Detective Ellen Yin, Steve Harris as Detective Ethan Bennett and the younger heroes Robin (Evan Sabara) and Batgirl (Danielle Judovits) round out the cast. Across five seasons of thirteen-episode arcs, the series runs as a mostly self-contained action format in which each episode pits the hero against a rogue or criminal scheme in a crime-ridden city. The tone is brisk, colorful and family-friendly, with bright action sequences and a sincere sense of justice rather than grimness. Fans of Batman: The Animated Series, Teen Titans and Justice League will find resonance in its superhero action, its accessible animated style and its youthful heroes. The show suits families and younger viewers who want an easy, engaging superhero adventure with clear good-versus-evil stakes.
