## Synopsis

Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990-2000) is a US teen drama series created by Aaron Spelling and Darren Star for FOX. It follows a group of teenagers in the wealthy, star-studded community of Beverly Hills, California, first at the fictitious West Beverly Hills High School and later at the fictitious California University. Brandon Walsh (Jason Priestley) and his twin sister Brenda (Shannen Doherty) arrive from Minnesota, and Brandon's new friends include Kelly Taylor (Jennie Garth), Steve Sanders (Ian Ziering), and Dylan McKay (Luke Perry), the brooding local who becomes the emotional center of the group. Their engine is the tangle of romance, rivalry, and loyalty within a close circle, with each season built from interlocking love triangles, family crises, and social issues woven into the teens' everyday lives. Over ten seasons and 284 episodes, it is a long-running serialized soap opera rather than a case-of-the-week show. Its tone is sincere, glossy, and melodramatic, mixing sunny poolside optimism with earnest, emotionally heightened drama. Fans of Dawson's Creek, The O.C., and Gossip Girl will find resonance in its blend of wealthy settings, teen angst, and romantic entanglement.
