## Synopsis

Mix Tape (2025) is a British and Irish co-production romance drama limited series created by Lucy Gaffy for Binge. Daniel (Jim Sturgess) and Alison (Teresa Palmer) fall in love as teenagers in 1989 Sheffield, then drift apart as life pulls them in different directions. Years later they reconnect through the music they shared, and the central engine of the four-episode story is whether two people who once loved each other can find their way back and whether they are meant to be together. Young Alison (Florence Hunt) and Young Daniel (Rory Walton-Smith) anchor the earlier timeline, while the adult pair carry the reunion, with Mark O'Halloran and Helen Behan among the supporting cast. Each episode is built around songs that mark their memories, giving the series a tender, reflective shape across a single contained season. Its tone is wistful and warm, with a gentle ache of nostalgia and a quiet hopefulness about second chances. Fans of Normal People, High Fidelity and Before Sunrise will find resonance in its intimate, music-soaked romance and its long look back at a first love.
