## Synopsis

McLeod's Daughters (2001-2009) is an Australian rural family drama created by Posie Graeme-Evans and Caroline Stanton for Nine Network. After their father dies, sisters Tess (Bridie Carter) and Claire (Lisa Chappell) inherit Drovers Run, a vast cattle station in the Australian outback, and decide to run it together. Alongside them are housekeeper Meg, her teenage daughter Jodi (Rachael Carpani), and a local girl, Becky (Jessica Napier). The engine of the series is the daily grind of keeping a remote property alive: mustering cattle, surviving drought and financial strain, and navigating the tangled romances and loyalties of a small community. Over eight seasons of serialized storylines, the show balances hard physical labour with warm personal drama. Its tone is earnest and sentimental, with moments of genuine tension and heartbreak woven through the wide open landscapes. Fans of Heartland and Yellowstone will find resonance in its rural family focus, while viewers of long-running Australian soaps will recognise its comfortable, character-driven rhythm.
