## Synopsis

Alma-chan Wants to Be a Family! (2025) is a Japanese anime comedy series produced by Studio Flad and aired on TOKYO MX and Sun TV. Across a single eleven-episode season of roughly twenty-four minutes each, the story follows Alma, a small, sweet, self-learning artificial intelligence capable of obliterating a tank in seconds, who is convinced that her creators are her mom and dad. The engine of the show is the pairing of these two scientists: Enji Kamisato (voiced by Ryota Suzuki) and Suzume Yobane (voiced by Mao Ichimichi), who must become unexpected co-parents while hiding their budding romantic feelings for one another. Each episode is built from everyday domestic mishaps, from awkward household routines to the messy experiment of family life, with supporting characters like Machina, Neon Wozniak and Toki Kamisato adding to the chaos. Shape and scale are those of a compact, self-contained comedy: one season, one continuing household story rather than case-of-the-week formats. The tone is breezy and warm, with deadpan absurdity and sincere affection played against the sheer power of its android heroine. Fans of Chobits and Kaguya-sama: Love Is War will find resonance in its slice of life charm and romantic comedy undercurrents, and it sits comfortably within the seinen anime tradition for adult viewers who enjoy gentle, quirky domestic comedy.
