## Synopsis

Il Baracchino (2025) is an Italian animated mockumentary comedy miniseries created by Nicolò Cuccì and Salvo Di Paola for Prime Video. Set in a shabby, cockroach-infested stand-up club that has fallen from its former glory, the show follows aspiring art director Claudia, voiced by Pilar Fogliati, who assembles a ragtag line-up of comedians for one evening that could save the venue from becoming a doner kebab shop. Her main obstacle is Maurizio, the gruff unicorn who owns the place, voiced by Lillo Petrolo. Around them move a cast of eccentric performers voiced by Luca Ravenna, Michela Giraud, Stefano Rapone and Pietro Sermonti, whose rough routines and backstage squabbles give each episode its rhythm. The series runs six episodes of roughly eighteen minutes each and forms a single, self-contained arc. Its register is irreverent and scrappy, with absurd humor, sharp deadpan asides and an undercurrent of affection for the stubborn community that keeps a small venue alive. Fans of BoJack Horseman, The Office and Big Mouth will find kinship in its blend of animated absurdity and mockumentary-style workplace comedy, and its bittersweet warmth about believing in a shared mission.
