## Synopsis

Cold Case: The Tylenol Murders (2025) is a United States true crime docuseries created by Yotam Guendelman and Ari Pines for Netflix. Across three episodes of roughly 39 minutes each, this limited series revisits the unsolved cyanide poisonings of Tylenol capsules that killed victims in the Chicago area. Reporter Jeff Flock of CNN appears alongside Tylenol poisoning victim Mary Kellerman and victim's daughter Michelle Rosen, whose testimony anchors the human stakes, while Chicago police superintendent Richard Brzeczek and Illinois Attorney General Tyrone Fahner recount the investigation. The engine of the series is the competing theories behind who tampered with the medicine, and the central thread follows the pursuit of a key suspect, James Lewis, as the filmmakers test each theory against interviews and archival material. Author Gardiner Harris, who wrote about Johnson and Johnson, adds corporate context. The tone is sober, investigative and unsettling, with a steady atmosphere of unresolved grief and institutional doubt. Fans of The Staircase, The Jinx and Making a Murderer will find resonance in its patient, interview-driven approach to a case that never fully closed.
