## Synopsis

The Seven Relics of ill Omen (2025) is a Chinese fantasy action series adapted from the novel by Weiyu and broadcast on Youku. Luo Ren (Song Weilong) and Mu Dai (Liu Haocun) lead a group of five ordinary but passionate young people who are drawn into a crisis through fateful encounters and form the Phoenix Squad. The engine of the series is a perilous quest to subdue relics of ill omen, mysterious substances from ancient times that can invade a person and twist the heart toward evil, now resurfacing in a run of bizarre and gruesome murders. Thirteen-Thousand Jiang Zhao (Ao Ruipeng), Yan Hongsha (Wang Yiting) and Cao Yanhua (Zhang Yichi) round out the squad, each carrying their own fate into each confrontation. The story unfolds as a single continuing journey across one season of 32 episodes, with each hunt adding stakes and building toward a long, arduous road. The tone blends eerie dread with sincere camaraderie, and the show keeps its focus on loyalty and friendship tempered in danger. Viewers who enjoy supernatural monster hunting with an ensemble of young heroes will find resonance here, in the vein of Supernatural and Avatar: The Last Airbender.
