## Synopsis

Cocaine Air: Smugglers at 30,000 Ft. (2025) is a French documentary miniseries produced for Netflix. Its three episodes, each around 44 minutes, open in 2013 in Punta Cana, where four Frenchmen are arrested with 700 kilograms of cocaine aboard a plane. None of them fit the profile of a trafficker, and the series pursues the investigative question of who was actually behind the bust. Rather than simply retelling the arrest, the program follows the search for the organizers, moving between the Dominican Republic and Europe as it reconstructs the logistics of a private jet smuggling operation. Its engine is the gap between the men who were caught and the people who planned the run. The tone is tense and methodical, with a sober, investigative register that lingers on evidence, motive and the uneasy distance between foot soldiers and masterminds. Fans of Cocaine Cowboys and Making a Murderer will find resonance in its true crime rigor and its interest in how a criminal enterprise unravels after the arrests. The miniseries is a compact, self-contained watch for viewers who want a single case examined closely from start to finish.
