## Synopsis

Velvet el nuevo imperio (2025-present) is a Telemundo soap opera and telenovela-style drama created by Sandra Velasco. Talented fashion designer Ana Velázquez (Samantha Siqueiros) arrives at the luxury house Galerías Velvet and falls in love with Alberto Márquez (Yon González), heir to the company. Their romance must survive a relentless web of business rivalries, family schemes and a marriage of convenience that threatens to pull them apart. Supporting characters include Benjamín Márquez (Humberto Zurita) and Cristina Otegui (Carolina Miranda), whose ambitions tangle with the lovers' hopes. The engine of the series is a forbidden love pursued through boardroom maneuvering, backroom bargains and the daily pressures of designing collections under scrutiny. Each episode builds the romance and rivalries step by step, in the long-form serialized rhythm of a telenovela. Set in the contemporary Latino American community and the glamorous world of high fashion, the show is emotional, dramatic and warmly romantic, with an atmosphere of glamour and family loyalty. Fans of Ugly Betty, Dynasty and Pasión de Gavilanes will find resonance in its blend of melodrama, ambition and passionate romance.
