## Synopsis

Menem: The President Show (2025) is an Argentine political drama series created by Mariano Varela for Prime Video. Leonardo Sbaraglia plays Carlos Saul Menem, an extravagant and charismatic politician who becomes president of a troubled nation, while Juan Minujín plays his photographer Olegario Salas, the everyday observer who watches the leader's life change alongside the society around him. Supporting roles include Griselda Siciliani as Zulema Yoma, Cumelén Sanz as Zulema Menem, and Sergio Gabriel D'Angelo as Uncle Rubinstein. The engine of the series is the gap between Menem's theatrical public persona and the hard realities he governs: privatization of state enterprises, dollarization of the economy, and the personal and political fallout of terrorist attacks and the death of his son. Each of the six episodes of this single-season limited run moves through economic recovery and corruption with a tone that blends camp spectacle, biting irony and genuine grief. Set in 1990s Argentina, it plays like a satirical biopic about power, vanity and public life, and fans of Veep, House of Cards and Chernobyl will find resonance in its mix of comic excess and historical weight.
