## Synopsis

Pixie and Dixie and Mr. Jinks (1958-1961) is an American Hanna-Barbera animated comedy created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera and originally syndicated. Running as a regular segment of The Huckleberry Hound Show, the series spans four seasons and fifty-seven short episodes of roughly seven minutes each. Pixie, voiced by Don Messick, and Dixie, voiced by Daws Butler, are a clever pair of mice who keep slipping away from Mr. Jinks, the scheming cat who tries to catch them. Each episode is a compact chase built from trickery, mischief, and well-timed slapstick gags, with the mice always one step ahead of their pursuer. The mood is light, cheerful, and breezy, with a comforting rhythm that suits young viewers and nostalgic adults alike. Its limited mid century animation is simple and bold, reflecting the economical style of 1950s television cartoons. Fans of Tom and Jerry, Looney Tunes, and The Huckleberry Hound Show will find the same playful cat and mouse energy here, delivered in bite-sized bursts that are easy to watch in any order.
