## Synopsis

Suspicion (1957-1958) is an American NBC mystery drama anthology series, a single-season run of 42 hour-long episodes with an executive producer link to Alfred Hitchcock. Each standalone story follows ordinary people who become entangled in crime, deception and escalating dread, with a host (Dennis O'Keefe) framing every tale. Guest actors such as Boris Karloff, Jessica Tandy, E.G. Marshall and Jack Warden appear in individual episodes, and each story turns on a reveal that recasts the suspicion that drove it. The engine is simple: a character's misjudgment or hidden guilt pulls them into a trap, and the episode plays out how the suspicion resolves. The tone is tense, taut and wry, with the restrained, black-and-white feel of 1950s television. Fans of Alfred Hitchcock Presents, The Twilight Zone and Thriller will find resonance in its compact, moralistic suspense and its appetite for the unexpected turn.
