## Synopsis

Abandoned: The Woman in the Decaying House (2025) is a Brazilian documentary miniseries produced for Prime Video, created by Chico Felitti, who also appears on screen as the presenter. After almost thirty years of silence, a woman who was victimized inside a house belonging to a person who became a notorious figure across Brazil finally agrees to speak about what she experienced there. The three-episode series is built around her testimony, with new and disturbing details unfolding as the investigation moves through the home and the public legend surrounding its occupant. Its engine is the slow act of breaking a long silence and letting a hidden private horror be heard against a famous public image. The tone is sober, intimate and unsettling, with a documentary register that favors restraint over spectacle and leaves the weight of memory in the foreground. Viewers drawn to true crime docuseries with a survivor at the center will find resonance here, in the vein of The Jinx and Making a Murderer. Its Brazilian setting and social texture give it a distinct national character within the true crime tradition. The brief runtime makes it a focused, uncompromising watch.
