## Synopsis

Heroes Next Door (2025) is a South Korean action comedy drama series created by Jo woong for ENA. Its story follows a reserve special forces unit, led by Choi Kang (Yoon Kye-sang) and including Kwak Byeong-nam (Jin Sun-kyu), Jeong Nam-yeon (Kim Ji-hyun) and Park Jeong-hwan (Lee Jung-ha), former elite soldiers whose lives have settled into ordinary jobs, marriages and parenting. Their engine is simple and personal: they are not defending the nation or chasing world peace, but guarding their families and the neighborhood they share when trouble arrives on their own streets. Each run of episodes mixes tense, well-staged skirmishes and conspiracy threads with the everyday texture of apartment life, shared meals and neighborly squabbles. The single season of ten seventy-minute episodes is a complete arc with a closing sense of resolution. The tone blends propulsive action with breezy, larger-than-life humor and warm community feeling. Viewers who enjoy the neighborhood ensemble warmth of Neighbours and Coronation Street, along with the team-based heroics of Sense8, will find a familiar appeal in its mix of human interest and thriller momentum, set in present-day South Korea.
