## What critics say

Critics generally see it as a charismatic, warm teen drama whose young cast and classroom romances win affection, though its melodrama and uneven later seasons draw criticism.

## Synopsis

Física o Química follows a group of rebellious final-year students at a secondary school in Madrid and the newly arrived teachers who find themselves drawn into their lives. Across its run the show balances classroom comedy with the sharp emotional swings of adolescence: first crushes, shifting friendships, family pressures, and the restless ambition to escape small expectations. Episodes move briskly between school corridors, bars, and home life, keeping the mix of humour and melodrama steady. The tone is warm, breezy and playful, with a sunny energy that makes its characters easy to root for, yet it never shies away from heartache and the bittersweet recognition that school years end. Its young ensemble cast and romantic entanglements give the drama a lively, gossipy appeal, while the teachers' perspective adds a reflective, slightly older lens on growing up. Viewers drawn to coming-of-age stories, teen romance and ensemble dramedy will find a lighthearted but emotionally honest portrait of youth, friendship and the first real decisions about who to become.
