## Synopsis

I'm in the Band (2009-2011) is an American family sitcom created by Michael B. Kaplan and Ron Rappaport for Disney XD. Teen guitarist Tripp Campbell (Logan Miller) joins Iron Weasel, a has-been 80s pop metal band that has settled into his parents' guest room. Tripp's goal is simple and stubbornly ambitious: revive the group's fading career and get them back in the limelight. The engine of each episode is the friction of an ill-suited household, with washed-up frontman Derek Jupiter (Steve Valentine) and the rest of the band's ego-driven antics colliding with Tripp's school life and family obligations. Principal cast also includes Caitlyn Taylor Love as Izzy Fuentes and Greg Baker as Burger Pitt, whose bandmate schemes keep the household chaotic. The show runs across two seasons and 42 episodes of short, self-contained stories built around gigs, rivalries and small disasters. Set in a present-day American suburb, it is a breezy, sincere and gently cheeky comedy with a nostalgic wink at glam rock excess. Fans of Hannah Montana and Zoey 101 will find a similar kid-friendly sitcom warmth.
