## Synopsis

Pawn Stars (2009-present) is a American national-television reality series created for History that follows the Harrison family running the Gold and Silver Pawn Shop on the outskirts of Las Vegas. Rick Harrison anchors the shop alongside his son Corey Harrison and fellow staffer Austin Lee Russell, while his father Richard Benjamin Harrison adds gruff commentary. The engine of the show is simple: sellers arrive with guns, comic books, jewelry, and oddities, and the family must agree on what each item is worth before a deal is struck. Each episode is built from several of these transactions, and the running tension comes from the clash of personalities behind the counter, with bickering that quickly gives way to camaraderie. The series has run for twenty-five seasons and hundreds of episodes as an unscripted, open-ended format, so it rewards casual viewing. Its tone is breezy and irreverent, with a warm family core and a steady flow of appraisal banter. Fans of Storage Wars, American Pickers and Trading Spaces will find a similar appetite for haggling, collectibles, and family dynamics in a working setting. The show remains a comfortable companion for viewers who enjoy bargaining, memorabilia, and everyday commerce.
