## Synopsis

Jumanji (1996-1998) is an American animated kids adventure series created for UPN and syndication, a three-season run of forty twenty-minute episodes. Judy (Debi Derryberry) and Peter Shepherd (Ashley Johnson) find a board game called Jumanji, and each turn they draw a clue that yanks them into a jungle packed with predators, traps, and strange creatures. Their engine is simple and urgent: they must solve each clue before they can return home, and every episode is built around a new peril in the same wild landscape. Along the way they meet Alan Parrish (Bill Fagerbakke), a man who has been stranded in the jungle for decades because he never saw his own clue through. Aunt Nora (Melanie Chartoff) anchors the family side of the story back home. The format is a serialized adventure with a running mystery of the game itself, and each season carries the siblings deeper into the danger. The tone stays brisk and lighthearted, with a sense of wonder and mild suspense rather than real menace. Fans of Gargoyles and Avatar: The Last Airbender will find resonance in its blend of family bonds, magical peril, and creature-filled worlds.
