## Synopsis

King of the Hill (1997-present) is an American adult animated sitcom created by Greg Daniels and Mike Judge for FOX, with later episodes streaming on Hulu. Propane salesman Hank Hill (voiced by Mike Judge) lives in fictional Arlen, Texas, with his overly confident substitute Spanish teacher wife Peggy (Kathy Najimy), their wannabe comedian son Bobby (Pamela Adlon), and their naive niece Luanne (Brittany Murphy). The engine of the show is Hank's stubborn sense of God, family and country, which keeps running into the modern world at every turn, whether a new fad, a business scheme or a neighborhood dispute. Each episode is a self-contained case of the week built around the household and the beer-drinking friends who gather in the backyard, and the run now spans fifteen seasons with a long-running, single continuing world. The show is a warm, low-key comedy with dry humor, gentle satire and a comforting, familiar rhythm. Fans of The Simpsons, Bob's Burgers and Parks and Recreation will find resonance in its affectionate portrait of ordinary people and their small town routines.
