## Synopsis

Fugue State 1986 (2025) is a Colombian national-television crime drama limited series created by Carlos Moreno and released on Netflix. Its story follows two friends, León (Jose Restrepo) and Jeremías (Andrés Parra), whose bond, forged through a shared love of literature, shatters after one of them commits an unforgivable act of violence in Bogotá. Supporting principals include Indira (Carolina Gómez), Elena (Camila Jurado) and Samuel (Jorge Enrique Abello), whose lives orbit the fallout and the question of how much one act can cost. Rather than a procedural engine, the series is built on the slow erosion of trust and the guilt that follows each character through the city's tense streets. Its single eight-episode season, running about 45 minutes per episode, stays intimate and interior, moving between private confrontations and the wider weight of violence in the capital. The tone is sombre, morally weighted and literary, with a melancholic atmosphere. Fans of Mindhunter, The Night Of and My Brilliant Friend will find resonance in its character-driven unravelling and its reflective look at loyalty and consequence.
