## Synopsis

Fastlane is an American action crime drama created by McG and John McNamara that aired on Fox for a single season in 2002 and 2003. Donovan Ray (Peter Facinelli) works undercover for the Los Angeles Police Department, moving among dangerous criminals while trying to keep his real identity and his police work intact. His partner Deaqon Hayes (Bill Bellamy) provides the buddy cop counterweight, and Wilhelmina Chambers (Tiffani Thiessen) brings another thread of the investigations into the mix. The engine of each episode is the risk of a cover being blown, with raids, informants and street-level deals building toward a larger operation. Guest appearances from Isaac Hayes and Terrence Howard add weight to the case-driven stories. Across a single 22-episode season, the show plays as a fast, gritty action series with a neo noir sheen, its nighttime Los Angeles streets full of tension and rain-slicked menace. Fans of Miami Vice, The Shield and Sleeper Cell will find a similar mix of undercover peril, police partnership and urban crime atmosphere.
