## Synopsis

Thundercloud Rainstorm (2025) is a South Korean romance drama miniseries created by Caesim and released on wavve, running eight episodes of about 35 minutes each. Lee Il-jo (Yoon Ji-sung) is the aloof cousin who agrees to take in an illegitimate son bound by a debt, and that son is drawn into a tangled household where Seo Jeong-han (Jeong Ri-u) becomes the emotional center of a growing and unsettling bond. Seung-jae (Jang Won-hyuk), Jeong-in (Lee Dong-ju) and Su-hyo (Hwang Seong-yun) orbit the central pair, and a younger version of Seo Jeong-han (Park Si-woo) appears in flashback-like moments. The engine of the story is a practical arrangement that keeps turning into something more intimate and more dangerous, with each episode tightening the knot of longing, resentment and dependence. Shot in a contemporary Korean setting, the series moves through quiet domestic scenes and charged confrontations, building a slow burn of unrequited feeling. Its mood is melancholic and tense, with an undercurrent of dread about what the obsession will cost. Fans of Hwarang, Crash Landing on You and Love Next Door will find resonance in its emotionally fraught romance and Korean drama sensibility, though its focus on obsession sets it apart from more lighthearted fare.
