## Synopsis

The Traitors Ireland (2025-2026) is an Irish reality competition series created by Marc Pos and Jasper Hoogendoorn and produced by Kite Entertainment for RTÉ One and RTÉ Player. Twenty-two strangers gather in a remote castle, where host Siobhán McSweeney presides over a social strategy game in which a hidden group of players, the Traitors, must secretly eliminate their competitors each night without being detected. Contestants such as Amy Meehan, Ben Donohue and Christine Duff form alliances, cast suspicion and vote out rivals while trying to unmask the concealed betrayers among them. The engine of each episode is the tension between trust and deception, as players read body language, trade accusations at round table gatherings and gamble their place in the game on every vote. The format runs across two seasons of twelve episodes each, with the second season picking up the same castle concept. Set against Irish lore and a moody, isolated estate, the show delivers a tense, paranoid and often playful atmosphere. Fans of Survivor, Big Brother and the original The Traitors will find the same blend of strategy, social manipulation and dramatic betrayal here, filtered through an Irish sensibility and an intimate, competitive rhythm.
