## Synopsis

Quincy, M.E. (1976-1983) is a American network crime procedural series created by Glen A. Larson for NBC. Jack Klugman stars as Los Angeles County medical examiner Quincy, a principled forensic pathologist whose work in the morgue often becomes the key to a police investigation. Robert Ito plays his colleague Sam Fujiyama, and Garry Walberg and Joseph Roman appear as detectives who rely on Quincy's findings. Each episode is a self-contained case of the week in which a suspicious death lands on the examination table and Quincy must read the body to reconstruct how and why it happened. The show runs across eight seasons and stays rooted in the working routines of the coroner's office, the autopsy room, and the streets of 1970s Los Angeles. Its tone is measured and humane, with a steady curiosity about the dead and a sympathy for the living left behind. Fans of Columbo, Bones and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation will find resonance in its blend of scientific detail, patient detection and moral seriousness.
