## Synopsis

101 Dalmatians: The Series (1997-1998) is an American animated family comedy created by Jim Jinkins for ABC and syndication, a Disney Television Animation spin-off of the classic 101 Dalmatians film. Following the Dearly family's move to a new farm home in the countryside, the story centers on the adventurous puppies Lucky, the fearless pup, Rolly, the always-hungry one, and Cadpig, the tiny runt, along with their chicken friend Spot. Voice cast includes Kath Soucie as Anita Dearly and Rolly and Cadpig, Tara Strong as Spot, Frank Welker as Scorch, and April Winchell as Cruella de Vil, who now lives as the new neighbor. Each episode is a self-contained romp of trouble, schemes and barnyard friendships, with the pups sneaking into the nearby town of Grutely and getting into predictable scrapes with Tripod, Patch, Two-Tone and Dipstick. Across two seasons and 105 episodes, the series keeps a light, playful, breezy tone, leaning on gentle slapstick and kid-level adventure rather than peril. Its affectionate, cozy atmosphere makes it an easy pick for young viewers. Fans of Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers, Recess and Bluey will find a similar pleasure in cheerful animal mischief and ensemble humor.
