## Synopsis

Shakugan no Shana (2005-2012) is a Japanese animated supernatural fantasy series produced by J.C.STAFF and adapted from a light novel for tvk, TOKYO MX and MBS. Fifteen-year-old Yuji Sakai (voiced by Satoshi Hino) is murdered by a demonic being and survives only as a flame that dims with each passing day, and when it dies no one will remember he ever existed. He meets Shana (Rie Kugimiya), a fierce warrior who wields a burning sword and is guided by the will of a god. Yuji becomes her accomplice as she hunts the demons that threaten the balance between the ordinary world and hers. The story runs across three seasons of twenty-four episodes each, a serialized arc built from recurring battles, school life and a slowly deepening romance. Its tone mixes urgency and melancholy with lighter teen comedy, and the fights are staged with bright, kinetic energy. Set in contemporary Japan, it offers a hidden supernatural world beneath a high school routine. Fans of Rosario + Vampire, Blood+ and Kyo Kara Maoh! will find resonance here.
