## Synopsis

Flodder is a Dutch family sitcom that originally aired on Veronica from 1993 to 1998 across five seasons. It follows the rowdy, anti-social Flodder clan, led by the formidable Ma Flodder, whose boisterous household refuses to adapt to the polished manners of an upscale suburban neighborhood. Each episode stands alone as a run of misadventures, petty schemes, and clashes with respectable neighbors who would rather the family were gone, so viewers can dip in at random. The show relies on everyday domestic absurdity, with the comedy arising from the collision between working class habits and genteel expectations. Slapstick energy and a deliberately crude streak keep the mood loud, warm, and irreverent, while the family's unapologetic lack of decorum produces a steady stream of light, cheerful laughs. Viewers who enjoy Married... with Children, Roseanne, or Malcolm in the Middle will find the same appetite for domestic mischief. The result is an easy, cheerful watch for anyone wanting undemanding family comedy that never takes itself seriously.
