## Synopsis

Brotherhood (2006-2008) is an American crime drama series created by Blake Masters for Showtime. Tommy Caffee (Jason Clarke), a working-class politician desperate for reelection, and his older brother Michael Caffee (Jason Isaacs), a hardened criminal back after seven years on the run, fight for control of the Irish-American family's territory in Providence, Rhode Island. Their rivalry drives a serialized three-season story of ambition, lies and betrayal, with the matriarch Rose Caffee (Fionnula Flanagan) and sister Eileen Caffee (Annabeth Gish) caught in the fallout. Each episode turns the family's pressures into concrete moves: backroom campaign deals, turf skirmishes, and debts that cannot be left unpaid. The mood is grim and morally tangled, with a brooding, heavy atmosphere and a grounded, character-driven texture. Fans of The Sopranos and Boardwalk Empire will find resonance in its portrait of organized crime as a family business, though its political angle sets it apart. The series ended after 29 episodes, leaving the Caffee legacy shaped by loyalty and ruin.
