## Synopsis

Gunsmith Cats (1995-1996) is a Japanese animated crime action comedy series created by Kenichi Sonoda and produced by OLM. Rally Vincent (voiced by Michiko Neya) is a skilled gunsmith who runs an illegal gun shop with her partner Minnie May Hopkins (voiced by Kae Araki), an explosives enthusiast. Their quiet business is upended when ATF agent Bill Collins (voiced by Hochu Otsuka) blackmails the pair into working for the agency. The engine of the show is the uneasy partnership: the two women must handle dangerous assignments while navigating the agent's manipulation and the bigger operation they gradually realize they have stumbled into. Each episode mixes shootouts, sharp banter, and the cheerful competence of two professionals who treat firearms as craft. The series spans only three episodes, forming a brief, self-contained limited arc rather than a long run. Set in contemporary Chicago, it carries a brash, breezy energy with stylized action and a streak of irreverent humor. Fans of Cowboy Bebop, Black Lagoon and Lupin the Third will find resonance in its blend of criminal capers, stylish gunplay and offbeat camaraderie.
