## Synopsis

Pinky and the Brain (1995-1998) is an American animated comedy series created for The WB, a Warner Bros. Animation production spun off from Animaniacs. Genetically enhanced laboratory mice Pinky and the Brain live in a cage at the Acme Labs research facility. Voiced by Rob Paulsen as the good-natured but feebleminded Pinky and by Maurice LaMarche as the self-centered, scheming Brain, the pair spends each episode hatching a new plan to take over the world. Every scheme collapses through Pinky's idiocy, the sheer impossibility of the plan, Brain's own arrogance, or circumstances beyond their control, then the mice return to their cage ready for the next attempt. Across four seasons the format stays episodic and self-contained, built on slapstick, escalating absurdity, and a lively genius-and-dimwit partnership. The tone is breezy, goofy, and cheerfully sardonic, with a family-friendly sensibility suited to young viewers and adults who enjoy classic Warner Bros. cartoon humor. Fans of Animaniacs, Tom and Jerry, and Futurama will find resonance in its irreverent wit and kid-friendly satire.
