## Synopsis

I'm Sorry, I Love You (2004) is a South Korean KBS2 melodrama created by Lee Kyoung-hee for KBS2, a single-season sixteen-episode run of sixty-two-minute episodes. Im Soo-jung plays Song Eun-Chae, a fashion coordinator devoted to her employer, the singer Choi Yune (Jung Kyung-ho), while So Ji-sub plays Cha Moo-Hyuk, a man adopted by an Australian family, treated cruelly, and abandoned as a young boy. Their chance meeting becomes the hinge of his life. When a devastating turn of events pushes him to delve into his past, the story moves between the present and the wounds that shaped him, with the tangled romance pulling him toward his past and toward the hope of finally finding happiness. Supporting turns from Choi Yeo-jin, Kim Hye-ok and Lee Yeong-ha widen the circle of family and rivalry around the couple. Each episode is built on heartache, reunions and secrets, with a sorrowful, tearful register that rewards viewers who love long-form romantic suffering. Fans of Endless Love, Autumn in My Heart and Boys Over Flowers will find the same emotional pull, a classic Korean television romance where devotion is tested by old wounds.
