## Synopsis

Trinity Blood (2005) is a Japanese anime series produced by GONZO and broadcast on WOWOW Prime, adapted from a light novel and running for a single 24-episode season. Set in a far-future world scarred by an ancient catastrophe, it follows Abel Nightroad (voiced by Hiroki Touchi), a hunter operating under Vatican authority who fights the vampires whose wrath has been unleashed on humanity. He is joined by Esther Blanchett (Mamiko Noto), whose bond with him shapes much of the team's strategy, while Alessandro XVIII (Keisuke Oda) and Isaak Fernand von Kampfer (Keiji Fujiwara) bring further tension and loyalty to the ranks. Each episode is built around missions against immortal enemies, with sword and gun battles, political scheming within the church, and a steady escalation toward a reality-shattering threat. The tone is dark, gothic and brooding, with bleak moments and a serious, sometimes harrowing atmosphere. Fans of Hellsing and Hellsing Ultimate will find resonance in its blend of holy militancy, vampire conflict and stylish supernatural violence, and seinen viewers drawn to war-weary post-apocalyptic action will feel at home here.
