## Synopsis

Viva La Bam (2003-2005) is an American reality comedy series created by Bam Margera for MTV and MTV2. Bam Margera stars alongside his friends and relatives, including Ryan Dunn, April Margera, Phil Margera, Vincent Margera and Chris Raab, in a loose group of skateboarders who gather around a central theme each episode. The engine of the show is a mission: the crew sets out to accomplish a specific challenge, often a scavenger hunt, a prank, or a skateboarding stunt, enlisting the help of friends, relatives and outside experts along the way. Each episode is partly improvised but supported by more planning than it first appears, so the chaos feels organized. The five seasons, with eight episodes each, are a collection of standalone episodes rather than one continuing story, and the format grew out of the Jackass franchise. The tone is raucous, irreverent and sometimes messy, with a dysfunctional family dynamic at its heart. Fans of Jackass, Punk'd and Dirty Sanchez will find the same mix of skate culture, pranks and friend-group mayhem.
