## Synopsis

The Wonderful World of Disney (1997-2023) is a long-running American family anthology series produced by Walt Disney Television and broadcast on ABC, with Michael Eisner appearing as host. Rather than following one continuing cast, the program is a rotating showcase: each broadcast gathers Disney films, animated specials, documentary-style behind-the-scenes features and studio-produced segments under a single warm umbrella. The engine is simple and inviting, with the host introducing whatever the studio has prepared for the evening, so each installment feels like a different bundle of stories rather than a plot to follow. Guest appearances from performers such as Michelle Trachtenberg, Richard Dreyfuss and Christine Baranski give the broadcasts a variety-hour flavor. The series has run across ten seasons and 149 episodes of roughly two hours each, with scheduling shifting from regular weekly slots to occasional specials over the decades. Its tone is nostalgic, gentle and comforting, a family-friendly pleasure built on studio pride and familiar characters. Fans of Disneyland, Walt Disney Presents and Mister Rogers' Neighborhood will find the same wholesome, host-led warmth.
