## Synopsis

Power Rangers (1993-2023) is an American children's superhero series adapted from Japan's Super Sentai tradition, created by Haim Saban. Across thirty seasons and 973 episodes, it follows a team of teenagers with attitude recruited to defend the town of Angel Grove. Their protagonists, including Kimberly Hart (Amy Jo Johnson), Rocky DeSantos (Steve Cardenas) and Trini Kwan (Thuy Trang), transform into costumed heroes whose engine is a steady cycle of monsters sent by villains such as the witch Rita Repulsa and the emperor Lord Zedd. Each episode builds to suited-up battles and giant robot combat, with the team's teamwork and courage carrying the stakes. The series is a long, shifting franchise whose cast and storylines change almost every year, so its mood ranges from bright and goofy to earnest and nostalgic, depending on the season. Its emotional register is playful and sincere, the kind of action fare fans of Super Sentai, Teen Titans and Voltron: Defender of the Universe will recognize. Viewers often remember it as a formative childhood favorite built on spectacle, transformations and a sense of belonging.
