## Synopsis

The Zack Files (2000-2002) is a Canadian science fiction series created by Kathy Slevin and broadcast on FOX and YTV. Robert Clark stars as Zack Greenburg, a young boy who seems to be a magnet for paranormal activity, and he attends Horace White High School for Boys alongside his friends Cam, Gwen, and Spencer. Jake Epstein plays Cam, Katie Boland plays Gwen, and Michael Seater plays Spencer. Zack's engine is simple and playful: his paranormal adventures repeatedly land him in trouble, and his friends must step in to set things straight. Each episode is a self-contained supernatural misadventure, and the show runs for two seasons and fifty-two episodes of roughly twenty-two minutes. Set in a contemporary high school setting, the series keeps its tone light, gentle and cheerful, with mischief and friendship at the center rather than fear. Its stories are adapted from the book series by Dan Greenburg, and the tone draws comparisons to Are You Afraid of the Dark and Goosebumps for fans of kid-friendly supernatural television. Viewers looking for an accessible family sci-fi show with a paranormal twist will find this one an easy fit.
