## Synopsis

Las Vegas (2003-2008) is an American network drama created by Gary Scott Thompson for NBC. Strict former CIA officer Ed Deline (James Caan) runs the day-to-day operations of the Montecito, a major casino, until he steps aside and hands the job to former Marine Danny McCoy (Josh Duhamel), his onetime protégé. Danny must manage the property's security, its staff, and the pressures of a business built on risk, while Ed's family life and the Montecito's constant demands keep pulling at both men. Across five seasons, the series is built around case-driven operational problems at the resort, with each episode bringing a new threat, scheme, or crisis to contain before it reaches the guests and the bottom line. Its tone is glossy, fast, and action-tinged, with a polished surface masking the strain of loyalty and ambition. Set in present-day Las Vegas, the show mixes casino spectacle with crime and security drama. Fans of Ocean's Eleven, Burn Notice, and Dallas will find resonance in its slick surfaces, power struggles, and hard-edged loyalty. The series was canceled after five seasons.
