## Synopsis

Dark Angel (2000-2002) is an American science fiction action series created by James Cameron and Charles H. Eglee for FOX. Jessica Alba stars as Max Guevara, a genetically enhanced super soldier who escaped a covert biotech facility as a child and now lives in a grimy post-apocalyptic Seattle, working odd jobs while trying to stay invisible. Her engine is simple and urgent: she wants a normal life, but government agents keep closing in, and she must also search for her scattered brothers and sisters who fled the same lab. Michael Weatherly plays Logan Cale, a sharp and wary ally whose loyalties shift, while Valarie Rae Miller and J.C. MacKenzie round out the core group of street-level friends. Each episode mixes case-driven missions with a longer hunt, so a season is built from chases, fights, and covert operations threaded through a serialized conspiracy. Shot with gritty urban textures and a bleak, dystopian palette, the show balances brutal action with flashes of warmth and found family. Its two seasons of forty-two episodes total give the story a clear arc, though it ended on a cliffhanger after cancellation. Fans of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Dark Matter will find resonance in its blend of hunted outsiders, corporate-government paranoia, and fast-paced sci-fi action.
