## Synopsis

CSI: NY (2004-2013) is a US crime procedural series created by Ann Donahue, Carol Mendelsohn, and Anthony E. Zuiker for CBS. Led by Gary Sinise as Mac Taylor, a crime lab supervisor, the team of NYPD forensic scientists and detectives, including Melina Kanakaredes as Stella Bonasera and Carmine Giovinazzo as Danny Messer, works murder cases across New York City. Each episode follows a fresh homicide from the crime scene onward, with the engine being the painstaking reading of blood spatter, fibers, and digital traces against the clock of a tight investigation. Over nine seasons the show mixes case-of-the-week structure with slowly developing character arcs among the team. Its tone is methodical and tense, with a gritty, neon-lit city atmosphere and moments of dread around violent crimes. Fans of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Law & Order, and Bones will find resonance in its forensic focus and procedural rhythm.
