## Synopsis

In Justice (2006) is an American legal drama series created by Michelle King and Robert King and aired on ABC. Kyle MacLachlan plays David Swain, a wealthy and successful lawyer who leads the National Justice Project, a pro bono organization in the San Francisco Bay Area dedicated to overturning wrongful convictions. Jason O'Mara plays Charles Conti, his lead investigator and a former police detective, whose legwork uncovers the evidence needed to free the falsely accused and expose who is truly responsible. Constance Zimmer and Daniel Cosgrove appear among the principal cast as members of the team. Each episode is built around a new case, with the investigators digging through records, witnesses, and institutional resistance to win a reversal. The series runs one season of thirteen episodes and was canceled before its story could fully develop. Its tone is earnest and procedural, with a sober, idealistic register that foregrounds the human cost of injustice. Fans of The Practice and Law & Order will find resonance in its case-driven format, moral seriousness, and courtroom-adjacent investigation, set against a contemporary Northern California backdrop.
