## Synopsis

Hercules (1998-1999) is an American animated comedy series created for Syndication and ABC, produced by Disney Television Animation. Young Herc, a half-divine hero-in-training, is tutored by the wisecracking satyr Phil, and the series follows his many labors across a single season of sixty-five episodes. Olympian gods and goddesses drop in to help or hinder him, with Hades, Zeus, and Helen of Troy among the figures who stir up trouble for the would-be hero. Each episode is a self-contained adventure built from classical Greek myth, reshaped into broad, quick-witted cartoon comedy with a kid-friendly sense of play. The tone is breezy and irreverent, with a warm sense of fun and a light touch on the stakes of heroism. Fans of Xena: Warrior Princess, Gargoyles, and Kim Possible will find a similar blend of mythic adventure and family humor. Its episodic format makes it an easy, cheerful watch for families and younger viewers who enjoy ancient legends retold with a modern comic wink.
