## Synopsis

Ninja Warrior (1997-present) is an American reality competition series that aired on G4 and has run for twenty-eight seasons across 118 episodes. Each half-hour episode follows top fighters, wrestlers, and athletes as they attempt a brutally demanding obstacle course built from a sequence of physical stages. The engine of the show is simple and cruel: contestants must clear every obstacle in sequence, and most fall away early. Of roughly 1,900 people who have attempted the first stage since 1997, only about 200 have passed it, and only three have finished all four stages to earn the Ninja Warrior title. The format is a shape of escalating physical peril, with grip strength, balance, and nerve tested by walls, swings, and drops that punish a single misstep. Each season builds on the last with new courses and fresh competitors, so the show plays as a long run of standalone competitions rather than one continuing story. Its tone is intense and breathless, with a sincere respect for athletic endurance and the rare triumph of the few who finish. Fans of American Gladiators, Survivor, and Wipeout will find the same blend of spectacle, elimination, and sporting grit that keeps viewers watching.
