## Synopsis

Stroker and Hoop (2004-2005) is an American flash-animated comedy series created by Casper Kelly and Jeffrey G. Olsen for Adult Swim. Voiced by Jon Glaser as Stroker and Timothy "Speed" Levitch as Hoop, the mismatched partners are a pair of buddy cops whose investigations drift quickly into nonsense, with the paranoid, overconfident Stroker dragging the more eccentric Hoop through whatever case lands in front of them. The engine of each half-hour episode is the gap between the seriousness of the partners' badge-carrying bravado and the sheer silliness of the crimes and bystanders they encounter, with Paul Christie's C.A.R.R. adding a deadpan machine presence to the chaos. The series runs for one season of thirteen aired episodes in a self-contained, case-of-the-week format rather than a continuing story. It parodies the buddy cop films and seventies detective shows such as Starsky and Hutch, and fans of Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law will find the same crude, irreverent late night energy. Its tone is loose, crude and absurdly deadpan, a cult cartoon meant for viewers who enjoy strange, rough-edged comedy after midnight.
