## Synopsis

Chosen (2013-2014) is an American action thriller series created by Ryan Lewis and Ben Ketai and broadcast on Crackle. Milo Ventimiglia plays Ian Mitchell, a lawyer and father who receives a box containing a gun and a photograph of a stranger, with orders to kill the person pictured. Soon after, he is attacked by another stranger and learns that he has been selected by a mysterious organization called The Watchers to take part in a lethal game. Chad Michael Murray co-stars as Jacob Orr, and Sarah Roemer, Nicky Whelan and Caitlin Carmichael appear as members of Ian's world, while Brandon Routh and Rose McGowan play figures entangled in the game. The engine of the show is Ian's struggle to protect his family while completing assignments that grow more dangerous, with each episode built around a new target, a new threat and new suspicion about who can be trusted. Across three seasons of thirty-minute episodes, the story moves as one serialized conspiracy with a steady drumbeat of tension, paranoia and violence. Its tone is brooding and propulsive, with the everyman anxiety of a suburban father caught in a system he cannot see. Fans of Hunted, 24 and Person of Interest will find resonance in its shadowy organizations and morally compromised hero.
